Subject of commemoration : The Baltic culture
Description of the design : The design shows an amber disc, one of the most characteristic symbols of the Baltic culture. The disc is decorated with a crosspiece of drilled dots — an ornament symbolising the world’s axis. At the top is the name of the issuing country ‘LIETUVA’, flanked by the mint mark and the year of issuance ‘2016’.
The coin’s outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
